All donations are acknowledged with a tax-deductible receipt. Bring any type of receipt and we will refund you for all purchases made on our behalf.

If you have items that you would like to send for Shalom Children's Home, you can contact us by e-mail or telephone to find out some additional details. The list below is a year-round list of standard items that are necessary. These items may be difficult to find or terribly expensive in El Salvador .

  • We will gladly refund the cost of any item brought when accompanied by a receipt.
  • Items can be brought duty-free with the baggage of the visitor.
  • Clothes other than those shown below are not needed.
  • Please do not bring stuffed animals.
  • It is okay to purchase items at garage sales, the Goodwill or the Salvation Army.
  • Duty is very expensive on imported goods. Please do not mail items or ship items directly. (Also, many packages are stolen and we never receive them.)

For Shalom Children’s Home

  • For Toddlers (ages 1-6) and small boys (ages 7 – 10) jeans, shoes, underwear and plastic pants
